I found some really awesome organic clothes for men, including socks, undies, shoes and even a belt made out of recycled tire rubber. I have personally found that bamboo, hemp, and 100% organic cotton lasts longer and washes better. So again, although you might be spending a little more (if at all) you […]

I was watching a little TV tonight and a Honda Accord commercial came on. A guy was singing a song and some of the lyrics to the song were, “Hold on tight to your dreams.” Catchy little tune. The question is, when does holding on tight to your dreams become white knuckling […]

In the next few days I plan to post all sorts of stuff. Mens/Womens/Children’s winter clothes, gifts for the holidays, and of course some new musings. And with the holidays just around the corner… tons of great material for my muse! I would love some feedback. What you like about the site, […]

I adopted my first dog, Pepper, over fourteen years ago at the SPCA. He was the cutest puppy! He is a dalmatian/lab mix and has been deaf since birth. He also had terrible allergies the first year and a half of his life. A vet recommended I buy Venison dog […]

My muse has been on a roll lately, but Pluto is somewhere in my chart and wreaking havoc, so it’s been sort of a dark, dreary muse. I didn’t want to keep posting these heavy articles and there is really only one light hearted topic that keeps coming up for me to write about. Now […]

I personally don’t wear makeup, but if I was going to wear makeup, it would have to be organic. I don’t just put anything on my skin, and if you love and care about your skin, you’ll be extremely conscious of what you put on yours. I found this company that makes organic, […]

I wish I knew about this stuff when I had my babies. I loved using receiving blankets when my children were infants. There is nothing like a swaddled newborn in a warm, cuddly, blankie. I would have registered for all organic cotton ones if I knew better at the time.
Receiving Blanket
Some […]

About a year and a half ago, my twins tore pages out of a beautiful Cinderella book that had been a gift for my daughter. Books are precious to me and tearing pages out of them is sacrilege. This evening my son Jacob, who was a culprit in this malicious deed remembered ripping out the […]

It is important to be aware of what you clean with as it is important to know what you are cleaning yourself with. When water goes down the drain, it isn’t going to never, never land just because you don’t see it again, all of it or part of it goes back to the Earth. […]

When I was little I heard adults countless times say, “Be the bigger person” or “Turn the other cheek”. I was even taught on the school yard, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”. What a bunch of poop! What is it about this emotion called anger that drives […]

I am very sensitive to facial cleansers and moisturizers and I used to constantly buy different products, never seeming to find the one that was just right. When I started buying all natural and organic products, it took me about a year to find the “just right” I had been looking for. When I compare […]

My shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and baby shampoo are all Nature’s Gate products. They are reasonably priced and after trying many different all natural products in the above categories, I continually wound up going back to them. Not just because of the price either. I love their toothpaste and it does not have flouride. If you […]

I really had no idea what I was getting into when I had children. After the initial love affair and honey moon of the twins birth was over, reality set in. For me, reality consisted of the constant caring for needs other than mine and the tedium of those same needs over and over. Nurse, […]

One of the most common complaints I hear about buying organic or “going green” is how expensive it is. I will not argue the fact that yes it is more expensive, but only in the short term. I will use the example of eating organic food. About 90% of the food I buy is organic. […]
