I adopted my first dog, Pepper, over fourteen years ago at the SPCA. He was the cutest puppy! He is a dalmatian/lab mix and has been deaf since birth. He also had terrible allergies the first year and a half of his life. A vet recommended I buy Venison dog food for allergies and a company called Nature’s Recipe had it available. For the next two years I fed him Nature’s Recipe Venison and his allergies subsided and eventually went away completely. I then switched to Nature’s Recipe Lamb and Rice and he (and my other dog Dakota who is eleven) have eaten it most of their lives. I switched dog foods once for about four months trying to save money with terrible results. The few dollars I saved wasn’t worth what happened to my dogs’ coats, poops, and breath. Luckily by switching their food back to Nature’s Recipe, within a month they were back to glistening coats, non-offensive breath and poops. I will always use this food and I highly recommend it.

I found an all natural website for dogs and cats and I was going to go through it and post links to certain items that I use or have used and believe in. The website is so amazing and has so many different items that I was overwhelmed in choosing what to individually place here. I chose to just link directly to the home page so everyone could check it out for themselves. I do promise to narrow my choices down and let you know about a couple must haves I highly recommend. (About fifty of them are swirling through my head now.)

Nature’s Herbs Joint Relief for Cats  I am going to order this for Pepper, he has terrible arthritis and he is on a homeopathic remedy that is keeping him out of pain but not really making him move any better. I’ll let you know how it works.

The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care  The more all natural and/or organic products we buy, the less impact we have on the environment. I think it’s just as important for our pets that they eat the most all natural food you can afford to buy or is available to you. And although in the short term it may cost a little more, it is worth it for the long term gains.
